Food Baskets: AAAM – Missions program

Thursday, July 27th – we had the joy of serving a group of oldies (and some not so old, but in need) with a special service, worship music, a meal and then food baskets which they can take home with them.  As always, their response is warm and engaging – they have stories to tell, if only we take the time to listen!

We are blessed to participate in the Food Bank (Banco de Alimentos) which is a not-for-profit foundation established in Panama, that provides us with a lower cost source for our food bank, as we make sure that the food they have gets to those most in need! They ensure that food that would otherwise be thrown away (because it is reaching it’s expiry date) is made available to Churches and other groups that are able to distribute the food to those most in need.
