<\/a><\/p>\n10.00 a.m. English Worship Service\u00a0<\/strong> <\/td>\n Spanish Worship Service Sunday at 11:30 AM<\/strong><\/p>\n This coming Sunday, July 17th,\u00a0in the Spanish\u00a0service we\u00a0will have a dicussion\u00a0group \u00a0lead by\u00a0\u00a0Joel Guerra<\/td>\n We would love to have you sing in our Pick Up Choir<\/strong><\/em>.<\/p>\n Practice is at 9.30 a.m.<\/strong> on Sunday morning, and will be lead by Irena Sylya. This Sunday we will have 2 soloist performance by\u00a0Elizabeth Bice\u00a0with Eli, Eli shelo yigamer l’olam<\/em> My God….never end the sand and the sea, the ocean’s roar, the sparkling skies, the prayer of man.<\/strong><\/p>\n Hannah Szenes was a poet and playwright, writing both in Hungarian and Hebrew. The better known of her \u00a0poems,\u00a0 is Halikha LeKesariya (\u00abA Walk to Caesarea\u00bb), commonly known as Eli, Eli (\u00abMy God, My God\u00bb). The well-known melody was composed by David Zahavi. Many singers have sung it, It was used to close some versions of the film Schindler’s List. This is one of the main Jewish songs relating to Holocaust Memorial Day<\/strong><\/p>\n The children will continue their practice of Jesus Loves Me in English & Spanish.<\/strong><\/p>\n <\/p>\n Fundraising for the purchase of the Land – Building 773<\/strong><\/p>\n 2 Corinthians 9:8, \u201cAnd God is able to make all grace abound toward you; that ye, always having all sufficiency in all things, may abound to every good work<\/em>.\u201d<\/p><\/blockquote>\n We continue our recent fundraising effort\u00a0to purchase the land under Building 773, across the street from the Church & parsonage. \u00a0As many of you know, BUC applied in 2000 for the purchase of the land, according to the terms of\u00a0the Panama Canal treaty, of all three of our buildings: the church, the parsonage and building 773. \u00a0In 2012, thanks to the efforts of past and current members, the purchase of the land under the church and parsonage was finalised, and we were given title to not only our buildings, but also the land. At this time, we have title to building 773 itself, but we do not own the land under and around it.<\/p>\n We are asking all friends and members to collaborate and assist in any and all ways possible, financially, with their skills and time, so that we can make this purchase also a reality. \u00a0We ask you to give generously, as you are willing and able.<\/p>\n Please contact\u00a0Leslie, our church secretary, for details on how you can make donations to this fundraising, or contact one of the Council members for more details if you have any questions.<\/p>\n Prayer Concerns and Celebrations for July \u2013 Personas por quienes orar en Julio<\/strong> Celebration for those in remission<\/strong>:\u00a0 Arminda Feraud, Carmen Betts, Reynaldo Taylor, Other health concerns among members, loved ones and friends of BUC: <\/strong> Please Pray for Our Brothers and Sisters from Syria and Iraq and all the refugees.<\/strong><\/p>\n Lord, please remind the world that we are all brothers and sisters and there should be no violence among us, only love and attempts to understand one another. God understands our prayers even when we can’t find the words to say them<\/strong>.
