With His blood He has saved me, \u201cI pray that they may all be one\u201d.<\/em><\/p>\n For several years, I jogged at \u201cParque Omar\u201d.\u00a0 One feature of that park I enjoy is the abundance and variety of its vegetation.\u00a0 Even so, after visiting the park for years, one day I suddenly noticed that while all the trees had green leaves, not all the leaves had the same shade of green.\u00a0 There were many different shades of green.\u00a0 And this is only one item in God\u2019s creation.\u00a0 Can you imagine the countless varieties of species of animals and plants in the world?\u00a0 They have\u00a0\u00a0 many different sizes, shapes and colors.\u00a0 Yet, they all contribute to the planet\u2019s ecosystem.\u00a0 This is awesome!<\/p>\n I don\u2019t know what this tells you, but it tells me that God\u2014the Creator\u2014loves diversity.\u00a0 God\u2019s creation is full of diversity, not only with plants and animals, but also with humans.\u00a0 Human diversity includes: physical features, ethnicity, language, nationality, creed and culture.\u00a0 Some people allow our differences to divide us; however, God\u2019s purpose is unity in diversity.<\/p>\n In the 17th<\/sup> chapter of the gospel according to St. John, Jesus prays for the unity of his followers.\u00a0 He prayed that believers be in Him and in his Father, like the Father and the Son are in each other.\u00a0 In other words, the unity between Jesus and his Father is the model of unity that God desires for his followers; and for the entire humankind.\u00a0 Notice how many times the words \u201cone, in\u201d and other words and phrases reflecting unity are used in this passage.<\/p>\n The source of unity between Father and Son is love (verse 24).\u00a0 Jesus prays that his children also may be united by love (verse 26).\u00a0 Love produces solidarity or service to each other.\u00a0 I will summarize these thoughts as follows: love produces solidarity (service); solidarity produces unity; unity strengthens love.\u00a0 This is what I call the virtuous circle of love.<\/em><\/p>\n There is unity and harmony in God\u2019s creation.\u00a0 But selfishness, greed, hate and violence have disrupted it.\u00a0 God is calling his people\u2014and all people–to work towards restoring unity and harmony to his creation.\u00a0 Let us love each other, in spite of our differences, so that we may enjoy unity in diversity.\u00a0 For only thru practicing the virtuous circle of love can humanity recover justice, peace and wellbeing for all.<\/p>\n Fundraising for the purchase of the Land – Building 773<\/strong><\/p>\n 2 Corinthians 9:8, \u201cAnd God is able to make all grace abound toward you; that ye, always having all sufficiency in all things, may abound to every good work<\/em>.\u201d<\/p><\/blockquote>\n We continue our recent fundraising effort\u00a0to purchase the land under Building 773, across the street from the Church & parsonage. \u00a0As many of you know, BUC applied in 2000 for the purchase of the land, according to the terms of\u00a0the Panama Canal treaty, of all three of our buildings: the church, the parsonage and building 773. \u00a0In 2012, thanks to the efforts of past and current members, the purchase of the land under the church and parsonage was finalised, and we were given title to not only our buildings, but also the land. At this time, we have title to building 773 itself, but we do not own the land under and around it.<\/p>\n We are asking all friends and members to collaborate and assist in any and all ways possible, financially, with their skills and time, so that we can make this purchase also a reality. \u00a0We ask you to give generously, as you are willing and able.<\/p>\n Please contact\u00a0Leslie, our church secretary, for details on how you can make donations to this fundraising, or contact one of the Council members for more details if you have any questions.<\/p>\n We would appreciate greatly any volunteers that can assist with either:<\/p>\n in Spanish as we progress on this project.<\/p>\n We would also appreciate feedback and constructive suggestions regarding content of the website which should be updated at this time. \u00a0We appreciate any and all assistance that can be given. \nCon esta nota,\u00a0 el Comit\u00e9 Organizador del Gay Pride Panam\u00e1 2016, coordinador de la 12da Marcha de la Diversidad Sexual, con el lema ENCIENDE TU ORGULLO, le extiende una cordial invitaci\u00f3n para que su organizaci\u00f3n forme parte de esta actividad.
\nDurante 11 consecutivos a\u00f1os hemos organizado la marcha de la Ciudad de Panam\u00e1, marcando a\u00f1o tras a\u00f1o records de participaci\u00f3n, llegando el a\u00f1o pasado a congregar casi 4000 personas en el \u00e1rea de recorrido\u00a0 y contando con una cobertura medi\u00e1tica de m\u00e1s de 20 canales televisivos, radioemisoras y\u00a0 p\u00e1ginas de internet nacionales e internacionales. La congregaci\u00f3n ser\u00e1 en la intersecci\u00f3n de V\u00eda Espa\u00f1a con V\u00eda Argentina entre las 2 a 4pm, cuando se iniciar\u00e1 la marcha por V\u00eda Espa\u00f1a hasta el cruce con la Avenida Espinosa Batista y entraremos en V\u00eda Argentina para llegar al Parque de la Cabeza de Einstein, donde tendremos un acto pol\u00edtico y cultural hasta las 8pm.
