<\/a><\/p>\n10.00 a.m. English Worship Service\u00a0<\/strong> <\/p>\n <\/td>\n Spanish Worship Service Sunday at 11:30 AM<\/strong><\/p>\n Our speaker in the Spanish\u00a0service this coming Sunday, June 5th will be Maria Lourdes Guevara.<\/p>\n You are all welcome to join our new service after the 10:00 a.m. service. \u00a0We look forward to building this bridge between our communities.<\/td>\n All members of the congregation are welcome to sit in on council meetings, where they may ask to have a voice to participate in any discussions. <\/p>\n <\/p>\n Come & join us on Saturday, as we deliver a short message, prayer and food to our \u201c Golden oldies\u201d, in the AAAM program.<\/p>\n We will be closing our services in the coming weeks with Hymn #664 –\u00a0Sent Forth by God’s Blessing<\/a><\/p>\n We have also asked the children to learn \u00abWelcome to the Family<\/a>\u00ab, as over the next few months we will have a number of baptisms of our young congregational members, and will finish the baptism service with this special song.<\/p>\n 2 Corinthians 9:8, \u201cAnd God is able to make all grace abound toward you; that ye, always having all sufficiency in all things, may abound to every good work<\/em>.\u201d<\/p><\/blockquote>\n We continue our recent fundraising effort\u00a0to purchase the land under Building 773, across the street from the Church & parsonage. \u00a0As many of you know, BUC applied in 2000 for the purchase of the land, according to the terms of\u00a0the Panama Canal treaty, of all three of our buildings: the church, the parsonage and building 773. \u00a0In 2012, thanks to the efforts of past and current members, the purchase of the land under the church and parsonage was finalised, and we were given title to not only our buildings, but also the land. At this time, we have title to building 773 itself, but we do not own the land under and around it.<\/p>\n We are asking all friends and members to collaborate and assist in any and all ways possible, financially, with their skills and time, so that we can make this purchase also a reality. \u00a0We ask you to give generously, as you are willing and able.<\/p>\n Please contact\u00a0Leslie, our church secretary, for details on how you can make donations to this fundraising, or contact one of the Council members for more details if you have any questions.<\/p>\n We would appreciate greatly any volunteers that can assist with either:<\/p>\n in Spanish as we progress on this project.<\/p>\n We would also appreciate feedback and constructive suggestions regarding content of the website which should be updated at this time. \u00a0We appreciate any and all assistance that can be given. For volunteering or simply providing feedback about the website, please write to us at the newsletter email address.<\/p>\n We are waiting for confirmation on our speaker for this coming week, and will send out a special notice with the details.<\/p>\n Rev. Veagra remains hospitalized. He may be discharged on Saturday, but not certain at this time. He is at the Hospital Oncologico, former Gorgas Hospital. His family continues with the expense of having someone with him all the time, although hospitalized. There is not enough hospital staff to assist him as needed.<\/p>\n Pastor Bill continues his medical treatment and therapy three times a week. <\/a>We have updated our website to include the code and plugins necessary to publish our entire Church website in Spanish. \u00a0Beth & Leslie will be working arduously over the coming days & weeks to translate each of the pages into Spanish, so that it is available for our visitors in either English or Spanish, according to their browser settings.<\/p>\n\n
