<\/a><\/p>\n10.00 a.m. English Worship Service\u00a0<\/strong> Spanish Worship Service Sunday at 11:30 AM<\/strong><\/p>\n \u00abEconom\u00eda y Cristianismo\u00bb<\/p>\n Special guest:\u00a0Jorge Arbesu<\/p>\n You are all welcome to join our new service at 11:30 a.m., after the 10:00 a.m. service. \u00a0We look forward to building this bridge between our communities.<\/td>\n <\/p>\n <\/p>\n <\/p>\n <\/td>\n<\/tr>\n<\/tbody>\n<\/table>\n Come & join us on Saturday, as we deliver a short message, prayer and food to our \u201coldies\u201d, in the AAAM program.<\/p>\n <\/p>\n <\/p>\n All members of the congregation are welcome to sit in on council meetings, where they may ask to have a voice to participate in any discussions. <\/p>\n Our children are learning \u00abJesus Loves Me\u00bb in English & Spanish in Sunday School. \u00a0We will be singing this just before Children’s time every Sunday morning in the service. \u00a0For those of you who are interested in learning it \u00a0in Sign Language, here are the signs in American Sign Language: \u00a0Jesus Loves Me – with Signs<\/a><\/p>\n We will be closing our services in the coming weeks with Hymn #664 –\u00a0Sent Forth by God’s Blessing<\/a><\/p>\n We will also be celebrating Jesus’ healing of the Centurion’s servant this week – #273 – Jesus’ Hands Were Kind Hands<\/a><\/p>\n Our Communion Hymn will be This is a Day of New Beginnings<\/a><\/p>\n 2 Corinthians 9:8, \u201cAnd God is able to make all grace abound toward you; that ye, always having all sufficiency in all things, may abound to every good work<\/em>.\u201d<\/p><\/blockquote>\n We continue our recent fundraising effort\u00a0to purchase the land under Building 773, across the street from the Church & parsonage. \u00a0As many of you know, BUC applied in 2000 for the purchase of the land, according to the terms of\u00a0the Panama Canal treaty, of all three of our buildings: the church, the parsonage and building 773. \u00a0In 2012, thanks to the efforts of past and current members, the purchase of the land under the church and parsonage was finalised, and we were given title to not only our buildings, but also the land. At this time, we have title to building 773 itself, but we do not own the land under and around it.<\/p>\n We are asking all friends and members to collaborate and assist in any and all ways possible, financially, with their skills and time, so that we can make this purchase also a reality. \u00a0We ask you to give generously, as you are willing and able.<\/p>\n Please contact\u00a0Leslie, our church secretary, for details on how you can make donations to this fundraising, or contact one of the Council members for more details if you have any questions.<\/p>\n We would appreciate greatly any volunteers that can assist with either:<\/p>\n in Spanish as we progress on this project.<\/p>\n We would also appreciate feedback and constructive suggestions regarding content of the website which should be updated at this time. \u00a0We appreciate any and all assistance that can be given. For volunteering or simply providing feedback about the website, please write to us at the newsletter email address.<\/p>\n Our speaking in the English service this coming Sunday, June 5th will be\u00a0Beth Gray.<\/p>\n <\/p>\n <\/p>\n <\/p>\n <\/p>\n <\/p>\n <\/p>\n I was able to visit Pastor Luis this past Monday with Monica and Norman Robinson.\u00a0 Pastor Roland also arrived too and was able to read a psalm followed by Monica’s reading of a daily meditation.\u00a0 It was a nice visit under the \u00abcircumstances\u00bb.<\/p>\n However, his health continues to be delicate and he has lost a lot of weight as he is not always able to eat.<\/p>\n (only want to drink ENSURE Advance -vanilla)<\/p>\n Having spoken to his daughter, Abigail, I also wanted to send out a request to those who wish to help towards the costs of the 24 an hour nursing service that is required six days a week.\u00a0 The daily cost is $90.
