<\/a><\/p>\n10.00 a.m. English Worship Service\u00a0<\/strong> Spanish Worship Service<\/strong><\/p>\n We will not be holding a 5.00 pm service, but please join us for the 4.00 pm community service.<\/p>\n We will resume Spanish services on Sunday, May 15th at their new time: 11:30 am<\/td>\n This week Joel Guerra will be organising a new members class, as we have had interest from some of our regular new visitors who would like to formally join the church.<\/p>\n The class will be held\u00a0at 9:30am on Sunday, May 8th.\u00a0<\/sup><\/strong><\/p>\n If you are interested in becoming a member – either as an Active Member or as an Associate Member (maintaining your membership in your \u00abhome church\u00bb) – please contact Joel or Leslie to organise the time and date for the classes.<\/p>\n Sunday May 8th –<\/strong> <\/em>We will be formally welcoming new members into the congregation during this Sunday morning’s service, and will coordinate any further welcoming services as needed for new members, as classes are held.<\/p>\n <\/p>\n We will be holding a community service, jointly with Saint Mary’s church, at 4.00 p.m., out in the open by Lot 773 – thanking God for another year of Community in San Pablo & Tabernilla (our 2 streets around the 2 churches), and also giving thanks for the rain that has finally arrived.<\/p>\n The community has requested that members of Balboa Union Church, not simply those that live in the area, attend and participate in this thanksgiving service.<\/p>\n Pastor Reyes will be leading for Balboa Union Church and we are waiting to coordinate all of the details with the Priest from Saint Mary’s.<\/p>\n In May we will be celebrating Pentecost, and so will be focusing our worship on the presence of the Holy Spirit. We will also be using some worship songs that are not in the hymnal: 2 Corinthians 9:8, \u201cAnd God is able to make all grace abound toward you; that ye, always having all sufficiency in all things, may abound to every good work<\/em>.\u201d<\/p><\/blockquote>\n We continue our recent fundraising effort\u00a0to purchase the land under Building 773, across the street from the Church & parsonage. \u00a0As many of you know, BUC applied in 2000 for the purchase of the land, according to the terms of\u00a0the Panama Canal treaty, of all three of our buildings: the church, the parsonage and building 773. \u00a0In 2012, thanks to the efforts of past and current members, the purchase of the land under the church and parsonage was finalised, and we were given title to not only our buildings, but also the land. At this time, we have title to building 773 itself, but we do not own the land under and around it.<\/p>\n We are asking all friends and members to collaborate and assist in any and all ways possible, financially, with their skills and time, so that we can make this purchase also a reality. \u00a0We ask you to give generously, as you are willing and able.<\/p>\n Please contact\u00a0Leslie, our church secretary, for details on how you can make donations to this fundraising, or contact one of the Council members for more details if you have any questions.<\/p>\n Maria Lourdes Guevara will be our speaker, discussing Pentecost and a life filled with the Holy Spirit.<\/p>\n <\/p>\n <\/p>\n <\/p>\n <\/p>\n We will be selling lunch,\u00a0as a fundraiser for our AAAM program. \u00a0Please contact Leslie or Maria Luisa for the Menu and to make any orders.<\/p>\n Venue: Church Office. Come & join us on Saturday, as we deliver a short message, prayer and food to our \u201coldies\u201d, in the AAAM program.<\/p>\n <\/p>\n Last May 1, made three years since his beloved wife, Saray, died.<\/p>\n The family thanks all those who have been visiting.
