The doctor says that Bill has Guillain-Barre Syndrome. I looked it up and read all about it \u00a0on the Mayo Clinic site.\u00a0One paragraph in particular spoke to me: In May we will be celebrating Pentecost, and so will be focusing our worship on the presence of the Holy Spirit. We will also be using some worship songs that are not in the hymnal: 2 Corinthians 9:8, \u201cAnd God is able to make all grace abound toward you; that ye, always having all sufficiency in all things, may abound to every good work<\/em>.\u201d<\/p><\/blockquote>\n We continue our recent fundraising effort\u00a0to purchase the land under Building 773, across the street from the Church & parsonage. \u00a0As many of you know, BUC applied in 2000 for the purchase of the land, according to the terms of\u00a0the Panama Canal treaty, of all three of our buildings: the church, the parsonage and building 773. \u00a0In 2012, thanks to the efforts of past and current members, the purchase of the land under the church and parsonage was finalised, and we were given title to not only our buildings, but also the land. At this time, we have title to building 773 itself, but we do not own the land under and around it.<\/p>\n We are asking all friends and members to collaborate and assist in any and all ways possible, financially, with their skills and time, so that we can make this purchase also a reality. \u00a0We ask you to give generously, as you are willing and able.<\/p>\n Please contact\u00a0Leslie, our church secretary, for details on how you can make donations to this fundraising, or contact one of the Council members for more details if you have any questions.<\/p>\n On Friday, we will have lunch available to sell, as a fundraising for our AAAM program.<\/p>\n Come & join us on Saturday, as we deliver a short message, prayer and food to our \u00aboldies\u00bb, in the AAAM program.<\/p>\n <\/p>","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":" Disculpa, pero esta entrada est\u00e1 disponible s\u00f3lo en English. \n\u00abThere’s no known cure for Guillain-Barre syndrome, but several treatments can ease symptoms and reduce the duration of the illness. Most people recover from Guillain-Barre syndrome, though some may experience lingering effects from it, such as weakness, numbness or fatigue.\u201d
\nWell, there may be\u00a0\u201cno known cure\u201d in medical science\u2014but we have a Master Healer and Prayer!! And with Jesus, all things are indeed possible. Do I hear a rousing AMEN??!!
\nPlease continue to pray for Bill and Ann, and Becky and David. Pray for wisdom for the doctors and the quick efficacy of the treatments.<\/p>\n
