Don’t just talk the talk, walk the walk!<\/figcaption><\/figure>\n

\u00a0James 2: 26\u00a0<\/strong><\/p>\n

Just as the body is dead without breath,\u00a0so also faith is dead without good works.<\/p><\/blockquote>\n

Works are not the cause of salvation; works are the evidence<\/em> of salvation. \u00a0James does not imagine that work is at odds with faith. There can be no \u201cjustification by works\u201d be\u00adcause there can be no good works unless there is already faith (trust) in God. James doesn\u2019t mean that faith can exist without works yet be insuf\u00adficient for salvation. He means that any \u201cfaith\u201d that doesn\u2019t lead to works is dead; in other words, it is no faith at all<\/em>.<\/p>\n

The insight that Christian faith always leads to practical action is in itself a lesson for the workplace. We cannot divide the world into spiritual and practical, for the spiritual is <\/em>the practical.<\/p>\n

Jesus put it this way: \u201cBy their fruits you will know them.\u00bb<\/p>\n

We know a body is alive because of its actions; we know faith is alive by its actions.\u00a0Life consists of energy and movement: so does faith!<\/p>\n
