BUC participates in meeting to hold accountable the Chief Justice of the Supreme Court.<\/p>\n

Reuni\u00f3n de rendici\u00f3n de cuentas del presidente de la Corte Suprema de Justicia ante el Comit\u00e9 Ecum\u00e9nico de Panam\u00e1.<\/span><\/p>\n

El Reverendo Roland Schnell como nuestro representante ante el Comit\u00e9 Ecum\u00e9nico de Panam\u00e1, particip\u00f3 en la reuni\u00f3n de rendici\u00f3n de cuentas de la Corte Suprema de Justicia ante la sociedad civil. En dicha reuni\u00f3n se trataron importantes temas para la ciudadan\u00eda como los esfuerzos concretos que est\u00e1 llevando a cabo el \u00d3rgano Judicial en la lucha contra la corrupci\u00f3n, la injusticia social causada por la mora judicial, la docencia previa a la implementaci\u00f3n del sistema penal acusatorio entre otros temas de igual importancia.\u00a0\u00a0 Es muy positivo que Balboa Union Church cuente con una vocer\u00eda en este organismo ya que de esta manera cumplimos con nuestra obligaci\u00f3n de ser un puente de comunicaci\u00f3n entre la necesidad de justicia oportuna y efectiva de los ciudadanos y el organismo encargado de impartirla.<\/p>\n

Accountability meeting with the Chief Justice of the Supreme Court before the Ecumenical Council of Panama.
\n<\/span><\/p>\n

Reverend Roland Schnell participated as our representative before the Ecumenical council of Panama in a meeting to request the Chief Justice of the Supreme Court of Panama to be accountable before civil society.\u00a0 In this meeting, important issues for the community were dealt with, such as the social injustice caused by judicial delays, the prior training required for the implementation of the new criminal justice system, as well as other equally important matters.\u00a0 It is very positive that Balboa Union Church has a voice in this organisation, as it forms an integral part of our responsibility to be a bridge of communication between the needs of timely and effective justice for the community and the body that is ultimately responsible for ensuring these rights are respected.<\/p>\n
