Betsy has been with Balboa Union Church since 2010, and has actively participated as a member of the Worship & Ministry Committee since 2011.\u00a0 In 2014 she accepted the role of Vice-President of the Council (with a lot of convincing and some understatement of what her responsibilities would be).<\/p>\n
In 2015, Betsy accepted to take on the role of Chairman of the Missions Committee, as well as continuing in her role as Vice-President of the Council. Betsy brought\u00a0to the Missions Committee a personal commitment to volunteer work, fostering rescued dogs, as well as working actively with a number of existing projects in Casco Viejo – setting up a community garden and working with youth programs.<\/p>\n
In 2016, Betsy continued to serve as Vice-President of the Council, supporting in the Missions Committee, although she was\u00a0no longer the chair. \u00a0Her primary focus in 2016 was\u00a0assisting the Ecumenical Council of Panama as a legal and social advisor, representing Balboa Union Church as our lay person on the council.<\/p>\n
For 2017, Betsy continues to serve the Ecumenical Council of Panama as a legal and social advisor, representing Balboa Union Church as our lay person on the council.<\/p>\n
In 2018, Betsy continues to serve the Ecumenical Council and is also on our Council in the role of \u00abTrustee\u00bb.<\/p>\n
