FROM THE PASTOR`S DESK

Righteousness exalts a nation, but sin is a reproach to any people.”
(Proverbs 14:34)

Dear friends and members of our Balboa Union Church

This week we had our monthly meeting as the Ecumenical Council of Panama. Our President, Bishop Murray had to give an interview. So he asked us according to our perception, what we do see as a central issue of our days. We all agreed that actually justice is one of the main issues.
This biblical verse from a book of wisdom exhorts us to trust the correct way. Money, politics and influence may be powerful, but only by justice we can create something strong.
The problem is that our system of justice is always weak and insufficient. Nevertheless there is now other way to create and protect life. We have to learn that all ideas of revenge will damage us.
As Christians we believe also in God’s justice. We await the day when He will restore all things. Meanwhile we have to do our part.
Let us pray that people in Panama will seek for the correct way improving possibilities which create new life and opportunities.
