Reunión de rendición de cuentas del presidente de la Corte Suprema de Justicia ante el Comité Ecuménico de Panamá.
El Reverendo Roland Schnell como nuestro representante ante el Comité Ecuménico de Panamá, participó en la reunión de rendición de cuentas de la Corte Suprema de Justicia ante la sociedad civil. En dicha reunión se trataron importantes temas para la ciudadanía como los esfuerzos concretos que está llevando a cabo el Órgano Judicial en la lucha contra la corrupción, la injusticia social causada por la mora judicial, la docencia previa a la implementación del sistema penal acusatorio entre otros temas de igual importancia. Es muy positivo que Balboa Union Church cuente con una vocería en este organismo ya que de esta manera cumplimos con nuestra obligación de ser un puente de comunicación entre la necesidad de justicia oportuna y efectiva de los ciudadanos y el organismo encargado de impartirla.
Accountability meeting with the Chief Justice of the Supreme Court before the Ecumenical Council of Panama.
Reverend Roland Schnell participated as our representative before the Ecumenical council of Panama in a meeting to request the Chief Justice of the Supreme Court of Panama to be accountable before civil society. In this meeting, important issues for the community were dealt with, such as the social injustice caused by judicial delays, the prior training required for the implementation of the new criminal justice system, as well as other equally important matters. It is very positive that Balboa Union Church has a voice in this organisation, as it forms an integral part of our responsibility to be a bridge of communication between the needs of timely and effective justice for the community and the body that is ultimately responsible for ensuring these rights are respected.
